Those of you who have dipped into the contents of this website over the years may have noticed a small massive deterioration in response times on Aylesbury Life. The truth is response times are abysmal -- especially at weekends -- and the time has come to move Aylesbury Life onto a faster better connected server on the English side of the Atlantic. OK, so I'm a bit puzzled actually. I've got lots of friends who are really sensible clued up people. They've got computers and browse the internet and all that sort of stuff. Of course they use word processors, spreadsheets and presentation programs, but amazingly they spend good money on these programs and they don't need to. Read more »

I never thought you would hear me say this, but what I miss in Moodle is piles of marking.
Don't get me wrong. I am dead keen on Moodle. It is really easy to use and for the first time this year I am using it across the board with all my ICT classes. The fact that the marvellous new (recently QCA accredited) INGOTS ICT qualification (International Grades in Open TechnologieS) has its curriculum content neatly embedded in Moodle just makes my job one whole lot easier.
