A Moodle suggestion

I never thought you would hear me say this, but what I miss in Moodle is piles of marking.

Don't get me wrong. I am dead keen on Moodle. It is really easy to use and for the first time this year I am using it across the board with all my ICT classes. The fact that the marvellous new (recently QCA accredited) INGOTS ICT qualification (International Grades in Open TechnologieS) has its curriculum content neatly embedded in Moodle just makes my job one whole lot easier.

Of course in one sense the fact that I don't have to carry home piles of marking does bring a certain lightness to my step. As you can see below marking a group or a whole cohort is straightforward in this marvellous single page Moodle electronic abstraction from the old-fashioned offline version of the class folders.

However, there is one thing missing. There are days that are longer than others. There are evenings when I have meetings and marking doesn't happen. I have special learning needs pupils and classes enrolled in multiple 'Moodle' course for reasons of clarity of screen display. There is no obvious single page to see everything a single pupil or class has marked and/or outstanding to mark before I teach them first thing tomorrow.

Just a small suggestion, Moodle I recommend....
