
OK, so enough is enough. A coalition of South Africa based NGOs are organising Stand Up For Zimbabwe Day this Sunday 25th May on what has always been Africa day. This is quite appropriate as those who know anything of Southern Africa will tell you that what happens in Zim affects very much what happens in the rest of Southern Africa.
Kate S has suggested making a video over half term the purpose of which would include:-
I would certainly like to do that if we are able to source pictures and music with appropriate permissions to re-use them.
Also it happens there is a vigil every Saturday afternoon outside the Zimbabwean embassy on The Strand.
Finally we can bring attention to charities that work specifically in Zimbabwe, for example Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation which seems to be a neat organisation.
