LLLL2 03: Invite your neighbours and friends to a pancake party

If you haven't twigged Love Life Live Lent is a national campaign to love your neighbour with a daily challenge during the course of Lent.

Today's challenge was to 'invite your neighbours and friends to a pancake party'.

I didn't do it, but at least I didn't claim the credit (unlike yesterday when I did - unwittingly I hasten to add).

I have to say had I ticked this box and complete this particular challenge it would have been a very un-neighbourly thing that I did.

Picture this, boys do their after school music then dash home, eat tea, out to chess club - o no its cancelled. "We must have our game at home then." You so seriously do not want to interrupt a game of chess in our house.

Picture this, Mel is marking, Dad should be but he's just finished writing up his notes from teacher school. Any other day is fine but not today.

How do I feel? Not too bad actually. The boys are asleep. Mum is done marking for a while. I still have school to prepare for. But on balance, given full and rewarding day I feel quite thankful and at peace.

I remember three P's (Priority, Prayer and Patience) and resolve to enjoy pancakes anothers year.
